In a few days, fans of Zac Efron and other movie fans will be going to the cinemas to watch 17 Again. People are already talking how excited they are to watch 17 Again while others have already been able to watch 17 Again online.
Nevertheless, after watching the trailer of this movie, I realized that this film has very similar plots to various old movies, which proves that second chances are still popular in Hollywood films. Here's a short list of the movies that I remember.
"Peggy Sue Got Married"(1986) - Kathleen Turner returns to the past to deal with her high school boyfriend
"Like Father, Like Son" (1987) - A personality switch between a father and his son
"Big" (1988) - Tom Hanks plays a kid who grows up overnight
"Vice Versa" (1988) - Another father-son switching movie
"18 Again" (1988) - George Burns goes to the body of his 18 year old grandson
"Prelude to a Kiss" (1992) - Meg Ryan goes inside the body of an old dying man
"Freaky Friday" (2003) - Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis do a mother-daughter swap
"13 Going on 30" (2004) - A girl wakes up one day as an adult
"Youth Without Youth" (2007) - A 70 year old professor is struck by lightning and starts to grow younger (Is that you Benjamin Button?)
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (2008) - A man growing backwards
In any case, most of these movies are really great and I'm sure 17 Again will be just as entertaining as these films, so save up some dough and watch 17 Again.
